The thermo shrinking type of splice protection sleeves consists of three parts, the outer heat shrinkable tubing, the inner hot melt adhesive tubing and the strength member. Ther inner hot melt adhesive melts and adheres to the fiber and the outer tubing shrinks to completely encaspulate it. The strength member gives mechanical strength to the sleeve preventing bending and allowing the sleeves to be arranged in splicing trays conveniently
