The Woodpeckers SERX Straight Edge Rule gives woodworkers a freestanding reference tool for checking and adjusting woodworking machinery. Its inverted vee-groove profile creates a stable set of legs so the straight edge can stand on its own while you check a surface with a feeler gauge or flashlight.
The vee-groove base helps reveal humps, dips, and low spots in machine surfaces, making the SERX useful for checking table saw flatness, making sure jointer tables are parallel, setting up a router table, and handling other machinery alignment jobs. The tool is machined to a tolerance of .0015" per foot, giving you a precise reference edge for critical setup work.
Beyond machinery setup, the SERX also works as a layout rule. The graduated edge is beveled at 30° to bring the markings close to the work surface, while major fractions are called out and full inches are highlighted for easier reading. A bright white laser-engraved bar along the bottom edge helps highlight low spots during inspection.
