Volvox globator. Freshwater green algae that forms spherical colonies with thick cytoplasmic connections between individual cells. Each culture contains enough material for a class of 30 students. Optimal medium: Alga-Gro Freshwater (item #153752) or Soil-Water (item #153785). Optimum growth temperature: 22° C. Please state the expected use date and allow sufficient time for proper handling. A free dropping pipet is included with each culture. Helpful Ordering Hint: To ensure you order enough living materials for the number of students in your class, order 1 culture for up to 30 students, 2 cultures for 31 to 60 students, 3 cultures for 61 to 90 students, etc. Note: Should not be shipped over a weekend. Carolina recommends that you request your order to arrive on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday (or even a Saturday) to avoid weekend shipping.
