20mm (0.79") internal diameter; 30mm (1.2") external diameter and 39mm (1.55") total length. For additional size specifications, please refer to the product images.
When replacing a door handle spring, two critical factors must be verified:
1. The orientation of the external hook relative to the internal hook, such as whether it is a 2-turn coil or a 2.5-turn coil;
2. The thickness of the spring (defined here as the height of the spring when laid flat).
Most springs are secured with a circlip, which can be removed and replaced using external circlip pliers. The 2.5-turn, 2.5mm thick coil illustrated here represents the most common type of door handle spring.
Please note that installing a thinner spring than originally specified may result in excessive play in the handle. Conversely, fitting a thicker spring may make it challenging to reinstall the circlip and could cause the handle to stick.
The circlips provided correspond to the most common size used in the majority of door handles. To ensure accuracy, it is advisable to measure the shaft rather than relying on the dimensions of the old circlip, as low-quality circlips may become distorted over time.
A pair of external circlip pliers is required to remove and replace the retaining circlip (not included in this package). Due to the lack of detailed instructions, professional installation is strongly recommended. Thank you for your understanding.
Tip: Applying a small amount of grease during the installation of a new spring can enhance wear resistance and improve movement.
About the Manual Measurement: Please notice that due to the possibility of differences between manual measurement and mass production, there may be a slight error of 0.04 to 0.08 inch in the size information provided for reference.
