The gas springs are the "muscles" of the barrier, and they wear out over time. The Braun 32831 is the OEM replacement for the NCL Series.
Check the printing on your old shock. If it says any of the following, this is the correct part:
Suspa: C16-28930 or C1628930
Braun: 180752 or 80752
Braun: 32831
These are 30lb Force springs. They are stiff by design! You likely cannot compress them by hand. Once installed on the lift, the leverage of the barrier arm will compress them easily.
