Ultra-Shear Carbide-Tipped 3-Flute Juice Groove Bits take cutting board projects to a new level of professionalism while saving time and effort. The 3-flute design gives you the option of more cuts per inch at the same feed rate or faster feed rates with no loss of finish quality.

Each groove profile features a chamfered lead-in that transitions smoothly into the cove. This design simplifies sanding and improves juice flow by eliminating the sharp edge left by common ball-nose bits. All three profiles allow flexibility in appearance—you can cut shallow grooves that just break the edge or increase depth to create a wider chamfered accent.

The set includes two full cove designs in 3/8" and 1/2" diameters with 30° chamfers, plus a third design featuring a 90° vee-groove with a 1/4" radius tip. Each style complements different cutting board shapes and design preferences.

For handheld routing, the simplest method is an internal template and a template guide bushing. Ultra-Shear offers a special 1" diameter, 7/32" long guide bushing that fits Porter-Cable-style bases. Shape a 1/4" template, secure it with double-faced tape, and guide the bushing against the template edge—it's fast and adaptable. These bits also work flawlessly in CNC machines of any size and with the Shaper Origin.
