Analysis of electromagnetic clutch and brake action principles:
The spline end of the driving shaft is equipped with a driving friction plate, which can move freely in the axial direction. Because of the spline connection, it will rotate with the driving shaft. The driven friction plate and the driving friction plate are alternately stacked, and the outer edge convex part is stuck in the driven gear.
The driven gear rotates with the drive shaft due to the friction between the master and slave friction plates. The clutch is secured within a sleeve, allowing the driven friction plate to rotate with the driven gear, preventing it from rotating when the drive shaft rotates. When the coil is energized, the friction plates are drawn toward the core, which also attracts the armature, firmly pressing against the plates. The friction between the master and slave friction plates causes the driven gear to rotate with the drive shaft. When the coil is de-energized, a coil spring between the inner and outer friction plates returns the armature and friction plates to their position, effectively removing the clutch from transmitting . DC power is fed to one end of the coil through brushes and slip rings, while the other end can be grounded.
