Make sure the surface to be sanded is clean and free of debris to prevent premature wear of the sanding disc. Choose the appropriate grit size based on the material and level of sanding desired. Coarse grits (40-80), medium grits (100-180), fine grits (220-400), ultra-fine grits (500-1200+). The larger the grits number of the sanding disc, the finer the grain size. Coarser grits remove material faster, while finer grits provide a smoother surface.
