HD M1ni S/AS cable configurations
It is an internal M1ni Serial Attached HD x4 (SFF-8643) to M1ni Serial Attached x4 (SFF-8087) cable.
It is used for connecting a /SATA adapter to a /SATA backplane.
The High Density (HD) system referenced as HD M1ni S/AS (SFF-8643) in the S/AS 2.1 standard, meets the 6Gb/s S/AS specification.
These HD Connectors will be used on the S/AS 3.0 specification when it is released. Cable material may change but the connectors will be the next generation of S/AS to run at 12Gb/s.
