This product comes in a new form for treating frequent heartburn that occurs 2 or more days per week. When taken as directed, Omeprazole deactivates acid-producing pumps in the stomach lining to inhibit acid production at the source. This product is not intended for immediate relief of heartburn; may take 1 to 4 days for full effect.
