The slow twist design creates distinct pressure points along the entire mouthpiece that provide a sharper "bite" on the bars and tongue to encourage a faster response when the reins are engaged. The Hunter Dee ring is a large dee ring design that compromises between an eggbutt and a full cheek snaffle, preventing pinching at the corners of the mouth.
