D.O.M stands for Drawn Over Mandrel. It is First cold drawn electric welded with all of the slag or flash removed. Each tube is normalized then tested and then drawn over a mandrel for a uniform end product. D.O.M is made from a mild steel 1020 for lighter wall thickness such as 10 gauge and lighter (.1345” Wall ) and for heavier walls than 8 guage it is made from 1026 Mild Steel .DOM seamless round tube is used in a wide variety of applications from Race car chasis, motorcycle frames, hydraulic applications, bumpers, telescoping applications ,cylinders, axles, conveyer rolls, and even bearing races.It can be welded with ease Mig or Tig .It is very easy to Mill, Drill, Tap, Turn and Burn.
