The Ratatak gets you that classic gritty RAT tone with some upgrades! It's much like the raved-about original, but with the most popular boutique pedal mods on-board.

Drastically alter your sound with the CLIP switch. This switch changes the type of clipping diodes, selecting either germanium/1N34A or silicon diodes. Germanium/1N34A diodes have a smooth, warm, vintage sound. Silicon (1N4148) diodes are cleaner and brighter for a more aggressive edge.

Modern 1N34A diodes don't contain germanium, so we offer an option to choose NOS germanium or modern 1N34A diodes in your pedal. If you are building a kit, you can use any diodes you like, even LEDs!

The Ratatak is super easy to DIY! Our step-by-step instructions are made with beginners in mind. With a painted and pre-drilled case, it's a great beginner-to-intermediate soldering project!

Controls:

- Clip G/S switch - switches between germanium/1N34A and silicon diodes
- Distortion - sets distortion amount
- Filter - low pass filter that mutes the highs and turns a clean signal into fuzzy grit
- Level - sets output volume
- Shred - boosts high frequencies
- Shred off/on switch - toggles the high frequency boost on and off
