Can be permanently left on the motor—it will not interfere with motor operation!! Comes with a FREE Saf-T-Strap for added security and safety. Saf-T-Strap provided prevents fore and aft straps from separating on motors with a sloping rear such as newer 4-STROKE MODELS. Will Work on most sloped rear motors with SAF-T-STRAP. Universal Model (item# 8877) - For 2 to 15 HP motors under 100 lbs. MADE IN THE U.S.A
