Kapton High Temperature Resistant Polyimide Tape
WOD KPT-1 is layered with a high performance silicone adhesive. The thermoset nature of the adhesive increases the adhesion values and leaves NO RESIDUE after removal. Consequently, it reduces the cleanup time and brings down rejects. The polyimide film used in this tape helps withstand high temperature and makes it conducive for installing on 3D printers with the heated build platforms.
With great heat resistance, it insulates your print from high voltage wonders experienced during Xerographic printing operations. This tape is resistant to high temperature which makes it suitable for continuous high temperature operating conditions.
Benefits
Thin, flexible, and tough nullifies the changes of getting punctured with sharp edges
Resistant to acids, solvents, oils, aging, water immersion, and staining
Wide enough to help maintain the alignment and cover your printer's bed
Applications
Gold polymide tape is used for protecting fiber optics cable, automotive manifolds or sensors, etching, and circuit boards. Other applications include cross-over insulation, forming wound coils for rotating machines, bundling conductors, and reinforcing insulation, wave solder concealing of printed circuit boards. It can also be used for repairing an IPad mini2 screen to solve ghost touching problem, masking the 3.3V Pin 3 of the SATA power connector on a Western Digital Easystore, and insulating model railroad locomotives.
