There are two ways you can do it after purchasing our kit. #1 Take the kit to your local tire shop. After they read the simple instructions, they will typically charge you as much as they do to patch a tire. Most shops are between $20 and $40 unless you have a large diameter wheel, which may cost more. #2 Have your local tire shop remove the tire for you and you can apply the Rim Patch yourself. Then take it back to them to have the tire reinstalled. Rim Patch is a product that will withstand the high temperatures of the wheel that are produced on an hour-long trip or aggressive driving. It is virtually unbreakable and once installed properly it can only be removed by grinding. Why can't I just use my own tape and cleaner? Most tapes that you have access to are only good for up to 150 degrees and a wheel during a trip can reach almost double that.
