Storing hydraulic oil
The reservoir is where the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic clutch system is stored, providing enough oil for the master cylinder. Hydraulic oil is the core of the clutch system operation. The master cylinder uses oil to generate pressure, thereby manipulating the slave cylinder to control the engagement and disengagement of the clutch.
Maintaining the sealing of the hydraulic system
The diaphragm is a soft rubber component, usually located inside the cover. Its main function is to maintain the sealing of the reservoir. When the fluid level changes, the diaphragm will move up and down according to the increase or decrease of oil, thereby preventing air from entering the system and preventing the clutch from working properly due to bubbles or air infiltration.
Adjusting fluid level changes
The hydraulic oil level will change with use. The diaphragm can automatically adjust with the increase or decrease of oil to ensure that no air or excessive pressure is generated in the system, and maintain the smoothness and consistency of clutch operation.
