The 154-4005 head kit is designed for Small Block 289-302 engines equipped with 351 -351W- cylinder heads. This configuration is commonly found in models from 1979 to 1995 that have undergone engine modifications to pair 351W heads with 289-302 .
Compatibility:

Cylinder Heads: Compatible with M-6049-J302, SVO high port M-6049-L302, aluminum, and GT-40 style heads that utilize a 1/2" to 7/16" reducer "T" washer.
Important Fitment Information:
Thread Specifications: The kit features 7/16-14 threads for the cylinder block.
Reducer Washers: Includes reducer "T" washers to accommodate heads with 1/2" holes, allowing proper fitment to with 7/16" threads.
Heads Consideration: For 165 heads, which have 7/16" holes, the "T" washers in this kit may not fit without modification. 185 heads or larger, with 1/2" holes, are compatible.
