Dimension Details: Our screen for bugs has a length and width of 40" and 21-5/8", respectively. It's a custom-made mesh screen for optimal performance.
Resilient Material: The screen bugs are crafted from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic. It can withstand high temperatures, impacts, and changing weather conditions during hauling. It's a black tightly closed mesh design that will protect the engine.
Restrict Contaminants: The purpose of this net is to protect the air hose filter and radiator from bugs, debris, and small components. These components might affect the functioning and efficiency of the engine (impacting the ventilation for the cooling engine system/coolant) during hauling. It's highly used by drivers on long journeys.
Easy-to-Install: You can install this retractable bug screen yourself. You will require mounting clips (not included) to secure the net with the grille. It has a hassle-free installation process, check out how to do it:- Remove the grille from the front and unscrew the mounting clips from the existing bug screen.
Clean the area.
Place the screen on the Freightliner Columbia semi trucks and screw the bolts on the pre-drilled holes.
Tighten to secure the connection.
Now, place the grille on the back of the truck and drill the bolts for a secure connection.
