Denny Hamlin's pit crew did their part to put the driver's No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE in position to score the win late at Richmond Raceway. Then, Hamlin took care of business inside the car by pulling away from the field on an Overtime restart to take the Toyota Owners 400 victory. Hamlin was chasing down a Joe Gibbs Racing teammate for the lead when the race's final caution flag flew with just two laps remaining. The leaders all hit pit road, but it was Hamlin's team that performed the best with a clutch pit stop that gave the No. 11 Mavis Tires & Brakes car the lead. When the green dropped for the final two-lap Overtime run, the Virginia native edged out his teammate and drove on to his second win of 2024 and the fifth career triumph at his home track.
