Martingale Collar is a great solution for your dog's training. The main difference between a martingale collar and a regular collar is that it tightens up as a dog pulls. There is an extra martingale ring than a normal collar, so it will be a little bigger than a normal dog collar. The purpose of this is not to choke a dog, but to prevent a dog from escaping the collar.
Please noted that the martingale size do not include the extra martingale ring length. The extra ring loop will tighten up when pulling, the extra martingale ring is nearly 5 inches when straightened. Please measure your dog's neck near the top portion and be sure to press down through all its fur to get an accurate measurement. Most people do not press down the fur to get a correct measurement. This leads to them over-measuring their dog's neck. And leads to them ordering a size that is too large. It is recommended to Large breeds,there is an extra ring than normal collar so it will be bigger than normal collar.
5/8" wide for small collars,(size range:12"-16") ;
3/4" wide for medium collars,(size range:16"-20");
1" wide for large collars.(size range:20"-26")
The beginning of the first embroidery character will be somewhat fixed, so sometimes the name/ numbers will be tucked into if you adjust this collar to the smallest length, which does not affect normal use. If have any problem with the collar size, please contact us at any time.
