LiquaGen Calcite Media is a high-purity calcium carbonate mineral designed to naturally raise the pH of acidic water. As water comes into contact with the media, it slowly dissolves, increasing pH levels and helping to reduce the leaching of metals such as copper and lead commonly found in plumbing systems. This media features a high uniformity coefficient for maximum contact and controlled pH correction, making it both efficient and cost-effective. With a near-white appearance and a minimum 95% CaCO₃ composition, it is ideal for water with pH levels between 5.0 and 6.0. Recommended operating conditions include a bed depth of 24–30 inches, a backwash rate of 8–12 GPM per square foot, and a bed expansion of 35%.
