Our self healing cutting mats may be used on either side in accordance to your preference. If you no longer want to use one side of the cutting mat, simply flip it over to the other side.   • AMBIDEXTERITY: Our cutting mats are designed to work for you whether you are right handed or left handed. Simply turn the mat to adjust to your comfortability of use. This works for both the yellow and the purple side. Martelli's is committed to not only making your sewing experience more pleasurable and pain free, but we also try to make sure that our products work for those individuals who are left handed, right handed, or ambidextrous!
  • SIZE & FABRIC: The large 26” x 38” cutting mat is our second largest mat and are ideal for most quilting and fashion design projects. They provide plenty of space for cutting standard width of quilting cotton fabric which is typically around 112-115cm (44-45 inches) or 137-152cm (54-60 inches). You can even fit and cut your typical wideback fabric which is 274cm (108 inches). Of course, you can also cut other types of materials on this mat such as fleece, vinyl, denim, minky, and more!
  • LONGEVITY & MEASUREMENT GUIDE/INDICATORS: Our Martelli cutting mats are made to withstand long periods of cutting and with proper care and fabric cutting techniques they can last for years! This mat also includes a block measuring guide for measuring out the perfect quilt blocks and angles for your sewing projects and there are measurement indicators between the numbers on the mat that indicate 1/8th, 1/4th, 1/3rd, 3/8th, and 1/2 yard marks, so you know exactly where to cut for these lengths.
  • MULTIPURPOSE: Our cutting mats are even used in our warehouse for shipping purposes. We use them to measure and determine the dimensions of boxes, bags, and other items during the order fulfillment process. It's so much easier being able to place an item on a cutting mat and determine the length, width, and height rather than using measuring tape or tape measures. Gotta love versatility!
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Our Martelli mats are made from a reasonable stain resistant material that is easy to clean. Simply use a wet washcloth to wipe away stains. For a little more stubborn stains you may use a soapy lukewarm wash cloth and non-harsh cleaning solutions such as dish detergent, low concentration multipurpose cleaners, etc. NOTE: IF SOMETHING SPILLS ON MAT, PLEASE BE SURE TO CLEAN IT IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT ALLOW STUBBORN LIQUIDS OR FOODS TO SIT ON MAT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.

Description

The Martelli 26″x 38″ cutting mat is made from commercial-grade materials, so it is very durable. With the proper use of an ergonomic rotary cutter, the mat is self-healing. It is also double-sided for the contrasting of colors. One side is yellow (for darker materials) and one side is purple (for lighter materials). The measurements are printed along the outside of the mat and along its center axes so you don't have to worry about covering up your numbers with your fabric or rulers. The mat also features 45-degree and 60-degree angles as well as concentric squares for squaring up your blocks. To increase the life span of your mat, we recommend you use Martelli cutters and blades (sold separately). PLEASE NOTE: This product is ONE cutting mat.
