Woodpecker is hand-painted to look similar to the actual woodpecker species. Each one is hand painted, without any kind of stencil or template so they are all unique. The base is also unique. I look at each piece of wood and try to incorporate the knots and other features into a unique shape. The one pictured is an example. The one I send you will have slight variations. I can send you photo of the exact one available before your purchase if you would like. Door knocker operates by pulling the red cord. The bird is 5 1/2 inches tall and made from 3/4 inch thick pine. The base is made from cedar and is 9 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide. The door knocker comes with pre-drilled mounting holes and stainless steel screws.
