Decorative Celtic Key Hanger:
This wooden key hanger is engraved with a Trinity Celtic Knot design. That is, a Trinity Knot design, encompassed by two Celtic Hounds adapted from artwork found in the Book of Kells.
The Trinity knot design first appears in the historical record around 400AD when Coptic missionaries traveled to Ireland and proceeded to produce the highly esteemed Illuminated manuscripts. It symbolizes the three fold Godhead - the three points represents Father, Son and Holy Ghost and the interwoven circle depicts the unity between the three.
The hounds symbolize extreme fidelity and in Celtic lore it is said that the hound is often associated with courage and loyalty as well as healing and traveling between worlds, often serving as a guide for traveling souls.
