A clear coat protects against humidity while accentuating the markings and color imparted to the barrel oak from years of aging wine. The metal is from the original barrel and the stave provides a natural curve away from your wall in the center. Averages 20" long by 5.5" wide, arcing out 3.5" from the wall at center.
