Darksiders II presents the various heroic deeds of death, one of the four apocalyptic riders. The action-packed story takes place parallel to the events of the original Darksiders game and drives its protagonist into an extensive game world. Death intentions to wash the name of his brother's war, as he has been accused of initiating the apocalypse early. Players can be found in different, creative-gloomy environments; among other things, "The White City" - a support point of the Angel - or "The Eternal Throne" - a floating fortress where souls wait for their expression and are guarded by the Lords of the Dead. Death is not only the most feared of all apocalyptic riders, but also extremely fast and relies on a combination of close and long distance combat attacks. Death's most important war machine is his giant, iconic sickle, which he swings to the best next to an arsenal on different weapons and usable objects. Two different weapons can be guided at the same time, expandable equipment can be purchased and death has a powerful and fearful companion: his riding animal despair.
