Special Features
EXTEND NETWORKS OVER FIBER: Media Converter connects copper networks via fiber optics up to 62 mi. (100 km); uses SFP slot for more compatibility with your existing fiber cable and connectors (transceiver not included); provides full duplex and half duplex communication with autonegotiation so fewer adjustments to equipment settings are necessary.
POWER OVER ETHERNET CONNECTION: One PoE+ RJ45 port offers power up to 30 W to a connected Powered Device (PD) over a distance up to 330 ft. (100 m); a non-PoE device only receives a data connection; 10/100/1000 Mbps flexibility offers smooth communication between connected equipment through Cat6 Ethernet cable.
MADE FOR HARSH PLACES: IP40 rating provides protection from tools and small wires greater than 1 millimeter; converter supports temperatures between -40 - 185°F (-40 - 85°C); hardened construction includes ratings for shock (IEC 60068-2-27), freefall (IEC 60068-2-32) and vibration (IEC 60068-2-6); DIN-rail mounting option makes it right at home in factories, plants, warehouses and other industrial environments (complies with IEC/EN 60715).
TWO DC POWER INPUTS, MORE GREAT FEATURES: Terminal block offers two DC inputs (48 - 56 V) to help ensure that mission-critical equipment stays active and available; supports 8k MAC address entries with Auto-learning and Auto-aging; DIP Switch enables Link Fault Pass Through (LFP or LFPT) or restricts copper interface speeds to 100 Mbps; includes status LEDs for power, fiber connection, gigabit link activity and PoE.
EXCELLENT WARRANTY & WHAT'S INCLUDED: 3 Year fg Warranty; Includes Industrial Gigabit Media Converter, DIN-Rail bracket; Instructions.
Description
The Intellinet Network Solutions Industrial Gigabit Media Converter and PoE+ Injector offers the network designer a device for migration from copper-based Ethernet to Fiber Ethernet. Now, migration or expansion of existing networks can be achieved with minimum cost and complexity. The converter is completely transparent to the network, so the network performs exactly the way it did before, only now it can support both copper and fiber media. It provides fiber connectivity to Ethernet segments, allowing for even greater networking expansion between extended workgroups. It also provides building-to-building connectivity without the need for the cost and disruption associated with the installation of additional routers.
