With the ToughArmor MB994IKO-3SB, Icy Dock introduces a dual-bay 2.5" SATA/SAS HDD/SSD backplane with an integrated slim ODD bay in a single 5.25" drive bay. The ideal device for compact systems or servers such as IPCs, HTPCs, NAS or home server. Two 4-pin power connectors are used to provide a safe and constant power supply to both drives and the ODD - whether power-saving SSDs or power-hungry 2.5" SAS drives with 15000 rpm are used. The trays offer individual metal locks to ensure a secure hold in your case. The MB994IKO-3SB differs from the rest of the MB994 series due to its unique slim ODD bay. This slim ODD slot uses our EZ-ODD full metal tray which allows for easy and quick change using the enclosed key or the side handle. This allows system integrators to better respond to customer requirements. The EZ-ODD Tray is compatible with a standard slim ODD drive with 12.7 mm height. The MB994IKO-3SB uses our EZ-Slide mini trays to make switching and maintenance effortless. The trays are made entirely of metal so that they provide loyal services for many years without weighing too much, which ensures excellent portability. The full cage design of the trays also offers an additional level of protection for transporting a drive, e.g. from one system to another. The 2.5" SSD/HDD trays can hold 7 mm, 9.5 mm, 12.5 mm or 15 mm high 2.5" SAS/SATA SSD/HDD drives, which allows you to use your 2.5" hot swap backplane in a variety of ways.
