This repeater improves communication between wireless X10 devices, such as a wireless controller or security sensor, by boosting and retransmitting X10 RF signals, thereby extending their range.

The X10 Smart RF Repeater plugs into a standard power outlet, and features a built-in pass-through outlet at the bottom (not X10 controlled), so you don't lose a power outlet. The repeater should be installed in the approximate center between your X10 RF transmitters and receivers.
