Overview
The PCIe to USB 3.2 Gen1 and M.2 NVMe HAT+ is a powerful expansion module designed to bring high-speed storage and connectivity to the Rasp-berry Pi 5 through its native PCIe interface.
This HAT+ uses a 16PIN PCIe connection to provide both a bootable NVMe SSD slot and four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, allowing developers, hobbyists, and professionals to dramatically improve
system performance.
With full support for NVMe protocol, this adapter accepts 2230 / 2242 / 2260 / 2280 size SSDs and allows the Rasp-berry Pi 5 to boot directly from NVMe. Compared to the traditional microSD
card, NVMe offers significantly faster read/write speeds, reducing boot time, increasing application response, and improving file handling for large data sets.
The onboard 4-channel USB 3.2 Gen1 interface breaks out the PCIe bandwidth to four high-speed USB ports. This enables you to connect multiple peripherals—such as external hard drives, webcams,
or AI modules—without bottlenecks or USB controller limitations.
To ensure stable and monitored operation, the board integrates a power monitoring chip and EEPROM, providing real-time tracking of voltage and current. Dual LED indicators on the board offer intuitive
feedback on SSD and USB port activity, making debugging and development easier.
This PCIe to M.2 USB HAT+ is ideal for:
Building high-speed storage servers using Rasp-berry Pi 5
Expanding USB connectivity for multi-device AI or IoT projects
Replacing slow microSD cards with bootable NVMe SSDs
Power-critical applications that demand stable and monitored power delivery
Elevate your Rasp-berry Pi 5 to the next level with NVMe boot support, multi-port USB expansion, and real-time hardware diagnostics—all in one compact, plug-and-play HAT+ board.
