Description

A microphone, whether dynamic or a condenser type, any type of air movement that goes beyond the pure sound event, is helpless. Train, drive, or weather-related wind, but also a simple draught created when the microphone is swinging around, can lead to loud blubber sounds that ruin a sound recording. Even the breath of a speaker close to the microphone can cause "popping sounds". The wind shield absorbs wind and ensures that it does not penetrate the microphone capsule. For outdoor photography, it is best to use a wind shield made of wind fur that keeps ordinary wind noise away from the microphone.
