The System Includes A Dovetail And Bayonet Horn Interface, Allowing For Easy Integration With Horn Mounts Like The G11. The Binocular Bridge System for the MUM-14 and GT-14 allows operators to put two individual night vision monoculars together to form a single binocular system.
Combined binocular systems provide enhanced depth perception and situational awareness compared to single-tube systems. The binocular bridge is fully modular and can operate in a single or dual tube configuration. This allows the user to remove one of the units and make it available to a partner.
It allows the individual monoculars to be rotated out of the way, allowing the operator to use the binocular system as if it were a monocular system. Or, if they prefer, they can rotate both barrels instead of flipping the eyepiece holder up.
Another benefit of this feature is that when the eyepieces are flipped up, the eyepieces fit more flatly against the surface of the helmet shell. This is a great boon to operators who know how obtrusive flipped-up goggles can be. By placing the tube flat against the helmet, the operator's head is lower, which greatly reduces the possibility of damaging the goggles or getting hung up on obstacles.
