This is a very good idea to make a metal hracket because the plastic onn keep breaking
This is the part to fix your gear indicator needle position. Just pop off the panel beneath the steering column, unhook the small cable with the white broken clip and little wheel. Unscrew the wheel off the cable and place the wheel in this new part. Then thread the cable through the part and wheel and rehook the cable where it goes. Put the screw back in and adjust the needle position with the wheel.
