PLEASE NOTE:
When cleaning prior to installation, focus on the throttle body cavity, valve, and shaft until completely free of dirt. Ensure the throttle control mechanism moves freely. Clean the joint surface between the air inlet and throttle body.
Remove the sealing rubber ring before cleaning to prevent corrosion.
Throttle Body Installation:
1. Clean intake manifold surface, then securely install throttle body assembly and tighten screws.
2. Install water pipes and hoses.
3. Connect wiring plug to throttle body.
4. Attach air intake hose and tighten locking ring.
Not to over tighten the 4 plastic bolts
After replacing the throttle body, high or erratic idle speeds may occur because the ECU has stored original parameters that are different from the newly installed throttle data. Matching by computer will clear the original memory of the ECU, thus enabling self-learning.
Use a dedicated computer to connect the CAR ECU to clear the error codes and restore the initial settings.
NOTE: Ensure that the cable plug is inserted, clear the error code and check the tightness of the throttle cable. Installation by a professional is recommended.
In cases without a matching computer, manual methods like:
1: The negative electrode of battery line can be disconnected to eliminate the memory function of ECU, and it can be installed after 1 minute.
2:Turn off the ignition switch and remove the EFI and ETCS fuses in the fuse box in the engine compartment.
The above two methods are to eliminate the memory of THE ECU. If the idle speed is still high at this time, the ECU can return to normal speed through 1 to 2 days of self-learning.
