During windy or stormy weather, point the short side of the umbrella towards the wind. Before opening, carefully release the straps and gently shake the umbrella to ensure the ribs are free. Slide the runner upwards until it clicks into place. When holding the umbrella, keep the short side facing the wind, or rest it on your shoulders if the wind is at your back. To close, pull the runner downwards and close the shaft by pressing simultaneously on both sides. Lastly, store the umbrella in its stylish sleeve.
