Special Features

  • Pair of 10.9 Class (metric equivalent to Grade 8) hardened yellow zinc plated flange bolts and prevailing torque flange lock nuts for the lower control arms on: 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ LJ (front frame side or rear) 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee ZJ (front frame side or rear) 2002-2013 Liberty KJ KK (rear only) 2007-2012 Nitro (rear only)
  • These fully shouldered bolts will fit better than the poor fitting partial shouldered OEM bolts that are known to eat control arm bushings. They will reduce slop in the suspension that can lead to death wobble.
  • Note about the front lower axle side bolts: If you have an early TJ (mid-1999 or earlier) it would have come from the factory with cam bolts on the front lower axle side. The cam bolts were problematic and weak so Jeep quit using them after mid-1999. All TJ's after mid-1999 came from the factory with a cam bolt eliminator. We also sell a cam bolt eliminator in our store, click "Region Offroad" where it say "Sold by" to find it, that can be used on all TJ's 1997-2006 to replace the front lower axle side bolts and is the best option to get rid of the cam bolts. If you do need caster adjustment for a lift, using adjustable lower control arms is the recommend way to do that.
