  • To install, park the car in a flat, open, well-lit area, turn off the engine and apply the handbrake, and have a wrench and other tools available. Carefully remove the old springs, noting their mounting positions and connections. Align the new spring precisely with the original mounting position so that the mounting holes are exactly the same, and tighten securely with screws. After completing the installation, manually open and close the hood gently and repeatedly to check for smoothness. If there is any sticking, fine-tune the position or angle of the springs until the hood opens and closes smoothly.
