Important: The new generation Epson cartridges (T54X.. and T55K..) for SureColor P6000, P7000, P8000 and P9000 are gradually replacing (while supplies last) the current cartridges (T8044). .. and T82 4..), since June 2023. These are still original Epson cartridges containing Ultrachrome HDX/HD inks, which have a reputation for quality. The only difference between these two generations is the presence of a new chip free of ILS (Ink Level Sensor, or ink level sensor). In the absence of this element used to accurately count the number of ml used, the consumption will be calculated/estimated according to the printing modes and will then be recorded in the new chip.To use these new cartridges, or a mixed cartridge with and without ILS, it is necessary to update the firmware of the printer.
