Description

Buffalo Games is proud to release this limited edition 300 piece jigsaw puzzle in partnership with the amazingly talented students from the Nichols School 7th grade class of 2029. Each year, the 7th grade class undertakes a special project aimed at fostering connections within their local Western New York community. This year, the class embarked on a mission to raise awareness and funds for a deserving local organization while collaborating with alumni to gain practical experience.    After careful consideration, the class chose to support the White Whiskers Senior Dog Sanctuary, a non-profit organization based in Akron, NY. White Whiskers is committed to ensuring the well-being of senior dogs, providing them with a loving environment to spend their golden years, while also offering companionship to humans who benefit from the unique bond dogs provide. The students had the opportunity to visit White Whiskers and engage with its founder, Polla Milligan, on multiple occasions.   In the creative process, the students opted to design a puzzle featuring dogs from their own imaginations. Teaming up with a renowned WNY artist, they crafted painted papers and meticulously collaged their dog creations using painted pens to enhance each piece's detail and clarity. The final result was a captivating mixed-media collage showcasing a variety of unique dog characters.   Throughout the project, the class, along with the support of Buffalo Games and local alumni, delved into the intricacies of puzzle production. They visited Buffalo Games during the manufacturing process, gaining firsthand insight into the creation of their puzzle. Additionally, a diverse group of Nichols graduates shared their expertise with the 7th-grade class, offering guidance on marketing, advertising, and leveraging networks to promote and sell the puzzle to benefit White Whiskers.
