This stunning set of 4 souvenir sheets, issued by the United States in 1976, celebrates the Bicentennial of the American Revolution featuring the paintings “The Surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown”, “Washington Crossing the Delaware” and “The Declaration of Independence, 4 July 1776 at Philadelphia” by artist John Trumbull and “Washington Reviewing His Ragged Army at Valley Forge”, by artist William T. Trego. The sheets are Scott catalog #1686-9 and are mint never hinged.
