After many years of wrapping tape around my long nose vise grip jaws, I thought there must be something out there that I could slip over the jaws of my pliers to avoid damaging the metal surface finishes, rubber hoses or fuel lines that I was working on. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything, besides tape or cutting up rubber hoses. Both were cumbersome and not very efficient or effective. This started me tinkering around with a few designes that would eventually turn into the protective jaw covers above. Throughout this wonderful journey, I was inspired by all of the help and support that I received from American designers and manufacturers. It proved that American ingenuity and "know how" can still be found in our great country.
