Guggal is made from the sap (gum resin) of the Commiphora mukul tree, which is native to india. Upon burning, guggal gives dense and aromatic smoke, which is then taken around in the house and held in all the rooms for a couple of minutes. While burning guggal, ensure that it is first rotated anticlockwise and then clockwise. This is done to first remove negativity (anticlockwise) and then bring in fresh energy (clockwise). This process drives away evil spirit, evil eye, black magic or any other type of negative forces from the home and keeps the members peaceful, safe and healthy.
