The Edelbrock Signature Series Chrome Valve Cover is engineered for function and styled for good looks. The valve cover covers the valve train and can be removed to adjust the valves. Oil is pumped up through the pushrods and dispersed underneath the valve cover, which keeps the rocker arms lubricated. A symptom of a bent or leaking valve cover is a pinching of the valve cover gasket. Valve covers accept all emissions equipment including the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve. The covers clear most aluminum rocker arms, valve train components and moderate lift cams. The low-profile design clears air conditioning and alternator brackets. The rubber grommets for the breather and positive crankcase ventilation valve holes are included. They come in a high-profile design that is 1-1/4" taller than stock, and clears most roller rockers and valve train components.
