iDatalink's Maestro HRN-RR-HK3 wiring adapter allows you to connect a new iDatalink-compatible car stereo in compatible 2016-up Hyundai and Kia vehicles, working in conjunction with iDatalink's Maestro ADS-MRR2 module (sold separately). Once connected, you'll retain the use of your steering wheel audio controls in these vehicles.
The package includes connectors that plug in between the Maestro module, your factory radio's wiring plugs, and your new car stereo. You'll have to solder or splice together this harness's power/ground, illumination, speaker, and navigation output wires to the corresponding wires on your aftermarket receiver's wiring harness.
This harness allows you to retain the backup camera (and front and side cameras if present) in your compatible Hyundai or Kia, as long as your receiver has the necessary inputs. In addition, you'll also keep your rear-seat entertainment (RSE) system, parking assist feature, and climate status display, and you'll be able to view engine performance data and other vehicle info on your receiver's screen.
This harness also features an in-line head-unit connector harness, which will plug into their new "Head-unit direct" harnesses for select radio brands, which eliminate the need to splice any wires. If you're installing a radio that doesn't work with a "Head-unit direct" harness, you simply cut off the plug and connect the wires to the harness included with your new radio.
INSTALLATION NOTE: This HRN-HRR Plug & Play Harness requires an Idatalink Maestro Interface Module (ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2) and the corresponding Idatalink Maestro Car Stereo Head-Unit ACC-HU-ALP1 (Alpine), ACC-HU-PIO1 (Pioneer), ACC-HU-SON1 (S O N Y), ACC-HU-KEN1 (Kenwood/JVC with 22-Pin Connector) or ACC-HU-KEN2 (Kenwood/JVC with 16-Pin Connector) Installation T-Harness.
