The kill switch cuts the signal when it is pushed in. It doesn't lock in place so the signal comes back when the switch is let go of. It makes slight clicking sound and has a nice feeling when it is pressed as the click can be felt in the action of the switch. The inbuilt LED that can be hooked up to a 9v battery to add a super cool red glow to your axe.
