In particular, this fitting has a male solder end on one end, and a female solder cup on the other end, with both having a nominal diameter of 3/4 inch. The male end fits directly into the solder cup of another fitting, with the same nominal diameter. Copper pipe with an outer diameter of 7/8 inch has to be used in the solder cup of this coupling.
