The workstation has also been designed with a realistic ‘feel' in mind. Strong clamps are used to hold the Bowel Models in place. At the same time the workstation provides extra stability, using suction cups, and a secure base for practicing. Moreover, the workstation is able to flex slightly to mimic real life conditions where parts may move rather than being fixed in place. A master feature of the workstation is also evident in the carefully positioned ‘stay' points. Rather than having to hold multiple threads in place whilst practicing, users can pull threads through the ‘stay' points and secure them there so that they are free to continue practicing even without an assistant to help them. Additionally, users may sometimes choose to cut the ends of the Bowel Models to practice on new working ends, thus making the Bowel Model shorter in length. In this case the workstation has been designed with extra guide holes so that the clamps and suction cups can be moved closer together/ if the bowel model is cut shorter, saving you from having to buy more materials each time.
