Wear Indicator: If the visual fault locator is inserted into an optical fiber and no light is seen at the other end, it indicates the ceramic core is worn and needs replacement.
Important Note: The ceramic core is fragile, so avoid forceful installation. If the red light doesn't enter the fiber, check for ceramic core damage before replacing the entire red light pen.
Easy Installation: Simply unscrew the metal tip, remove the worn ceramic core with tweezers, gently insert the new ceramic sleeve by hand, and reinstall the metal tip.
