Q&A:
Is there velcro on the inside to stick to my inner belt?
Yes, it has a loop velcro strip on the inside to stick to hook inner belt. And it also has a hook velcro strip on the outside to stick to duty belt which lined loop velcro. There are also three Velcro straps on the outside for securing the duty belt.
Why do so many law officers have bad backs?
It's a combination of stress of the job, equipment load, odd shapes of the gear and its holders, and postural changes caused by driving for hours at a time wearing the gear.
The hard duty belt has good equipment loading performance, but the hard edge of the belt and odd shapes of the gear and its holders will reduce the wearing comfort. Duty belt support pads are a good solution.
Load Distribution
They improve the load distribution across a larger area of your body. The pressure is more evenly distributed to create a lighter feeling that won't strain your lower back.
Prevents Back Injuries
Having a back support will allow you to prevent back injuries while you are working.
Aligns Your Posture
It will align your posture. Holding on to one position your body chooses for long periods of time can lead to localized stress that can lead to injury. Back brace helps to reduce the amount of fatigue on your back muscles that occur from belt carry, and shifts the weight off your pressure points, distributing it more evenly across a wider area.
Compact and lightweight
Doesn't require changing your duty belt setup
Helps to distribute weight of duty belt
You get lumbar support, weight distribution, better prevention against back injuries, and fits in your existing carrier.
It helps relieve the back pain while being on your feet all night, going up and down steps, standing or sitting a patrol car. It also reliefs pressure from equipment (i.e. handcuffs, flashlights & such) near you back.
